The North Face Primavera Triclimate Men's Jacket - New for Autumn/Winter 2008

The North Face Primavera Triclimate Jacket is 3-in-1 featuring the high-end Primavera waterproof coupled with Heatseeker insulated inner jacket.

The Primavera jacket is a technical mountaineering jacket made from 2 layer Gore-Tex Performance shell, so really waterproof, breathable and durable. Designed specifically for mountain wear, it's not the highest spec jacket TNF produce, but it's a reasonably priced one for what it does. Featuring a fully adjustable hood with a wire brim, pit-zips and fully seam-sealed, the Primavera won't let you down on the mountain.

The Heatseeker inner jacket is a good bit of insulation, however if you're into mountaineering you probably aren't going to wear it on its own as you're going to need something more technical. However, as it's designed specifically to fit into the Primavera outer shell, it's the ideal thing if you're looking for some insulation. Otherwise you're going to want a TNF zip-in compatible fleece, of which there are several. The only problem is one of fit; it should zip in, but you may get some movement. The Primavera Triclimate inner jacket won't do this, so a choice for when you're mountaineering.

The best Gore-Tex triclimate The North Face do, however if you want something really technical you'd be better going for a separate Gore-Tex jacket with a more technical fleece that will zip in. However, you can't knock the value for money of the Triclimate at £230 retail! Available in men's and women's versions in 3 colours.
